Fiber to end cap array splicing with SMARTSPLICER by NYFORS
Array splicing with SMARTSPLICER™ – NYFORS presents its latest developments with fiber-to-end cap array splicing. Homogeneous, high strength splice of fibers in a row was demonstrated. A placement accuracy better than +/- 1 µm is achieved thanks to the high precision translation stages. The first fiber was placed as close as 250 µm from the end cap edge, with a spacing between fibers as low as 250 µm as well, which was one fiber diameter in our experiment.
