Since 1987, Nyfors Teknologi AB develops and manufactures advanced systems for fiber preparation and testing within the field of optical fiber fusion splicing.

In the course of the last twenty years, fiber optics has evolved into a generic technology present virtually everywhere in society. This development is also reflected in our broad customer base − today it consists of companies spanning a wide range of industrial sectors from aerospace and medicine to the telecommunications industry.

NYFORS products are developed with the varied and often specialized needs of these customers in mind. We offer systems for the processing of standard to large diameter fibers used in fiber laser and welding applications, automated stripping and preparation equipment for volume production of optical components and subsystems, advanced recoaters designed to meet the stringent reliability requirements of splice packaging in undersea optical fiber cabling, as well as speciality fiber processing solutions used mainly in research and development operations.
