NYFORS products all feature a characteristic attention to provide a highly automated fiber processing experience. This automation is intended to provide operator skill independence, short cycle times and high yield in volume production of optical fiber components.

It also makes NYFORS products, optical fiber cleavers and recoaters as well as stripping and fiber preparation equipment, possible to integrate with other production steps within automated manufacturing and fusion splicing systems. This integration is facilitated by the open mechanical and software interfaces that enables use with different types of fiber holders and remote process control.

NYFORS also undertakes custom engineering projects on a consultancy basis to help with production system integration or to develop customized solutions for specialized applications such as manufacturing of optical fiber gyroscopes.
