We can also provide custom-built production systems and solutions for both high-volume manufacturing processes and speciality applications.
All our products are compatible with the majority of fusion splicers on the market and they can be used as either stand-alone units or integrated into industrial production lines. NYFORS can provide several fully automated systems for volume manufacturing, where reliability, accuracy and high production yield are of importance. Stripping and cleaving can be performed with our AutoPrep II™ system, the most advanced fiber preparation and cleaving system available on the market today. It has been developed to meet the highest industrial requirements of fast, clean and consistent fiber preparation with preserved fiber strength and integrity.
For even greater accuracy, the cleaving process can also be carried out separately with our line of high precision fiber cleavers designed to handle standard as well as large diameter fibers, generating cleaving angles of 0.5 degrees or less. Many applications also demand the protective acrylate coating around the fiber to be restored to its original shape, strength and flexibility − a task which can be carried out efficiently in industrial manufacturing by our AutoCoater™ system.
